Stuttgart’s Orel Mangala delights fans with its smoothness, at the transfer value of the Belgian is estimated at an impressive eleven million euros – by far the highest amount in 2.Bundesliga. The 22-year-old player has long belonged in his class to the First Bundesliga, according to the unanimous opinion. The problem is: Mangala could stay in the unpopular second division again…

In the pre-season Mangala failed with the HSV on the climb, although the Stuttgart loan could do little for it. The 22-year-old played 34 competitive games for Hamburg, became an absolute top performer and actually wanted to stay. But VfB put a stop to it. It’s particularly bitter: Because Stuttgart failed in the relegation games against Union Berlin, Mangala had to stay in the second division for another year. Now he faces the same fate again with the Swabians.

And what? He has a contract with VfB that runs until 2023. But it’s not secret, that, for example, VfL Wolfsburg is said to have deposited their interest to him several times.
